You only have to look at the billions those three clubs have wasted in the past by seeing a big name and thinking that's the answer without looking at how he's going to fit in with the team balance and the club structure.
You could build a total club with the money those clubs have wasted over the seasons. I only need give one example. How long did big name Carroll last at Liverpool and how much did they lose on him. Yet the player was a huge success here first time round and that was under the right circumstances.
It all comes down to the organisation.
