It has been reported or at least hinted at that the South East corner has a drainage problem at the point where all of the Dens pitch drains into an out flow pipe which flows into the main town drainage going down under Dens Road. Is it not the case that the Dens Burn flows underground along more or less the same route? It has been said that the problem lies with the ancient local council main drain and that this has worsened in recent years causing us the problem. The way the poor groundsmen had to work to clear the water you would think that, if there was a solution in our hands, they would have had it attended to even taking into account the general dilapidation at Dens. I don't know if there is any evidence of this, only going on reporting/posting elsewhere, but it seems sort of plausible and despite the fact that, if this is the case, the club should be letting the fans know it is DFC after all and we don't do communication well.
