My point really was this. I watched the game live and when it happened I said to the rest watching, ‘she got to be sent off for that.’
The referee issued a yellow, which was later replaced with a red and rightly so. My issue is that it was a deliberate stamp, however, it was not a hard stamp, it was more a token stamp. Even the Jamaican player immediacy twisted her body to shout at the ref. She did not appear in pain, she did not stay on the ground or, I believe require treatment.
It was stupid act on James part. My initial post was questioning whether there was anti English mindset in the decision to increase the ban.
