I reckon rA would say "play him" - this is the sort of player that should be attracted to the Rams to kick start his career rebuild
Just weird. You seem a tad obsessed today but, for what it’s worth, I’m just puzzled, as he seems to be the third Madchester based footballer to have gone from ‘guilty as sin’ to ‘evidence withdrawn’ in recent times. No idea what’s going on and no further thoughts on the subject.
I presume you mean guilty as sin based on media reports? If so, one does need to be careful about the slant the media says and the Man City player was tried and found innocent, which is different from the case not being proceeded with.
Unless the player concerned can be found to have broken the clubs disciplinary code, then I would have thought they either admit him back into the squad or pay up his contract.
Of course. That was my point. I have no idea whether these are examples of rich, not particularly bright, young men being taken advantage of by unscrupulous wealth seeking women...genuinely aggrieved woman being threatened into withdrawing evidence by ‘supporters’ of the accused, or something else entirely. That’s why I hadn’t commented until GP decided to second guess me.
Inclined to agree with your second paragraph.
Also if United don't play him and move him on because of the allegations, then does the resigning of Ronaldo seem contradictory to that approach, considering the allegations aimed at him in the past? Probably worse with Ronaldo considering he used his wealth to make the allegations go away.
Difficult one to judge. Why did the witnesses withdraw? Innocent until proven guilty? No smoke without fire?
Did money or threats of violence influence certain decisions? No idea.
Would the MUFC Women's and girls' teams feel safe around him at the training ground or at OT? If not then he shouldn't play as the MU collective responsibility to very many females is greater than their responsibility to one man.
I think the women will say no and Greenwood will be paid off. The next question is would another club take a risk? We shall see.
He will probably get a multi million contract in Saudi leagues if he is binned by MUFC. He would fit right in 😄
