He's persisting with Maguire. Anyways I'm off to the local club for a few bevvies and to share the experience with some Yorkshire gentlemen and ladies. The referee's called Turpin, let's hope it's not highway robbery.

Brave man. I can’t abide watching England. Bores me to death.
He’s also playing a square peg in a round hole again. Gets all he deserves with Trippier at left back. Lost a great attacking threat and the lad being skinned on the outside.....
Bellingham, Rice, Foden and Kane what else do we need? Even Southgate cannot f„uck this up.
Well we beat a very ordinary (by their standards) Italian team and it was great if you like watching Stones, Pickford and Maguire endlessly passing the ball to each other. It was so boring I can't think of owt else to comment on.
3-1 we won who gives a fu#ck about the quality of the opposition unless you happen to be holed up on the Gaza Strip?
I thought a typical Southgate first half, then bellingham let him down by showing a bit of flair that led to a goal and Kane compounded the issue by his own moment of individual brilliance and scoring another, southgate must have been fuming at these breaks from protocol.
I am convinced Gareth picks Maguire and Phillips as starters just to rub fans noses in it. Yes Gareth we get it is not a popularity contest. We are just puzzled that when Manchester United and Manchester City cannot wait to get shot of Harry and Kalvin respectively they are still so popular with you. Nevertheless it was an improved performance against Italy in which our attacking players won the day. Bellingham is simply awesome. Do we think that now have guaranteed qualification we can go on to become European Champions?
