Liverpools new bid

Reports this morning that Liverpool will come in with a bid of ?140m ?60m now and ?80 next season. He might go for that but I?m not sure if we will except that payment structure it has to be all up front.

Tell them to fuck off would be my preference. They've behaved disgracefully over this, as has he.

Sell him in January to, well, anyone apart from them.

In fact, I’d say that this pay structure (or even more prolonged) might be good for us.
PSR is 3 years rolling period, so if we are positive this year, we dont need all 150mln booked right now, as it would be off the books in 3 years. Next season or even another one after next is where we’ll need it most

Tell them 90 million now and Gakpo or do one.

I agree but in reality I think they?ll get there way unfortunately. Really unhappy with that.

Season has started, they have had all pre season to make a serious offer, but they have gone for maximum disruption rather instead

If they want him now, pay up now

If they cannot afford him until next summer, then that is when they can have him 😡

They want to do the dirty on us to spend that other 80mil elsewhere.

This, definitely this, we don’t pay everything for a player in one go, in fact we amortise player costs over 5 years… so we are still paying for players when the cash comes in for Isak, long after, as that incoming only shows on the rolling 3 year PSR numbers for 3 years.

There is literally no benefit to getting it all in one go, and there is benefit with it being split.

Personally, I’d say… accept on the conditions:

He (Isak) doesn’t line up against us next Monday
Isak hands in a transfer request
We include a 20% of any profit in a future sale

Had a look though, can?t see any credible sources supporting any second bid? where was this reported?
