If only we'd kept him instead of going for Warne. we'd be playing in Europe now....
And if my grandma had wheels she'd be a wagon
Seriously though, incredible rise for him
A rumour possibly enhanced by the fact that he is already employed by the Chelsea owner and BluesCo.
He’s been relatively successful everywhere he’s been and, imo, represents Clowes’ one and only mistake, but it all worked out okay and Chelsea are a basket case club these days anyway.
Guess he’ll be guaranteed a big pay off at the end of the season when Chelsea have won nothing and their fans demand a bigger name, or maybe they’ll just go in search of Lampard again.
Wouldn’t be so surprised to see Maresca back to wake up Leicester.
So Chelsea have appointed Rosenior as Head Coach. Where would Derby be if we'd have apponted him as manager?
Looks like RA was right in his assessment.
I still think his appointment at Chelsea is strange, yes he has done well at Strasbourg, though recent results haven't been great, is this a case of a club wanting someone who will do as he is told? Also is this the right move for him? I guess financially he can' lose, sure to earn a good payoff if eventually (like the managers before him) he gets the boot.
If one looks at Lampard, who did good things albeit with some choice loanees at derby, but failed at Chelsea and is now doing well inthe championship with Coventry, will Rosenior find the pressure at Premier League level too much?
I wish the guy well and hope he suceeds, but somehow I think it will end in tears, probably at the end of this season.
Good luck to him, he'll need it!
A decent bloke heading for bear pit, still he'll get a nice wedge when the brain-dead ones running that club sack him for failing to win every game!
Just like Manure a toss pot club run by toss pot owners who know jack **** about football!
Good luck to him. Gut feeling is he won't be there a year though.
Tough job.
Don’t know about being right, although I note neither Rooney nor Warne have been linked with the vacancies at Old Trafford or Celtic. ;D
As regards Rosenior, I just thought the players he attracted to Derby at one of the most difficult times in our history was a major achievement and he continues to have one of the best win ratios of any Derby manager, albeit over only a dozen matches.
I think he’s a good man and, as others have done, wish him well. Bit of a quandary because I’ve no time for Chelsea, but I hope LR can survive with his growing reputation intact. Sure his bank balance will be.
Duplicate of my earlier thread - AF: can we merge them??
I hope he manages to pick up a trophy before they get into him. Really pleased that his talents are being recognised, hopefully this will secure him in the top flight longer term, regardless of if it's with Chelsea or not.
Good luck to him, wish him well.
