Norwich v Swansea
Norwich v Swansea Sat 25 April 15:00
On Saturday, in our final away match, we travel to the far reaches of East Anglia, a gruelling journey for the team and supporters.
Norwich were down and almost out when Philippe Clement took over from Liam Manning last November, next to bottom of the table and couldn’t buy a win.
Clement has done an amazing job of turning around Norwich’s fortunes.
They now sit 14 places higher in 9th place on 64 points, just 6 points short of a play-off place.
The Canaries have won 6 of their last 10 home matches, losing 3 of those to Ipswich, Birmingham, Stoke, and conceding 14 goals
Swans have won 4 of their last 10 away matches, losing 5, and conceding 16 goals.
The Swans are getting better away results lately, drawing one and winning two of the last three, setting us up nicely for this one.

Norwich 1 (Vipotnik 53’ pen)- Swansea 1 ( McClean 83’pen)
It was mostly Canaries first-half with 5 shots on target. Second-half it was our turn and it came via a penalty, a Cordoba foul on Vipotnik, and he put the penalty away for his 23rd goal of the season. The ref evened things up for a dubious foul by Vigouroux on Kvistgaarden.
A late rally by Norwich but to no avail and the game ended in a draw.
It also ended Norwich’s faint play-offs as they had to win.
A good draw for the Swans as Norwich have been in top form.
They end their away season four games unbeaten, two draws, two wins.

Another improved performance in an away game. Under the cosh a bit at times but it was to be expected due to Norwich’s good form since Clement took over.
I agree the ref tried to even things up with their soft penalty, Vigouroux came for the ball, what was he supposed to do and the Norwich play acting was embarrassing. Anyway the draw there was a creditable result at a ground where we never get much joy.

Well boys another deserved draw on the road. It’s been a poor standard of refereeing this season though, Vigouroux ’foul’ never a penalty and booking, with obvious suspicions of evening things up by the sub-standard ref.
Vipotnik getting his 23rd goal of the season the highlight, an unusual way of taking a penalty but very effective.
Thank you Vitor for saving our season, we would have been relegated with Sheehan for sure.

And kudos to those fans who travelled to London and Norwich for the games this week, such a long journey to Norfolk especially.
