Is this game considered a derby even though Barrow is pretty far away from Carlisle?

According to the BBC it is considered to be a Cumbrian derby. After the home game they said "Jon Mellish earned Carlisle victory over Barrow in the first Cumbrian derby to be played in the Football League for 56 years".

Thanks for that howoldboy,it's must be one of the furthest derbies in England with a 75 mile drive between the two grounds,Notts and Forest are a mere 0.5 mile drive apart by comparison and probably the shortest in England

In our current league Chesterfield are our nearest rivals and they bring about 3/4000 when they visit Meadow Lane but I don't consider them rivals normally with Forest and Mansfield being the main ones
