I thought we had a chance - especially after watching Bath Rugby win on Sat (a very rare occurrence). Let's not kid ourselves, we scraped a narrow win, with a deflected goa, against 9 men who had nothing much to play for.

A Bath Rugby supporter, didnt expect to find one of those on here, dreadful season at the Rec, thankfully a free hit this year, with no relegation. With both them & Leeds winning, made for a good weekend, one to mark down on the calendar.
I thought we were going down for several weeks. Then Struijk scored against Brighton. I then felt that the football Gods could relegate Burnley who have played negative football for several seasons now and should go down. But being a Leeds supporter, one can never get used to how things rarely (if ever) work in our favour. So I must say this was the first glimmer of hope I had had in weeks. I honestly believe if Struijk did not score we would not have been able to lift ourselves and would have lost to Brentford. And gone down.
My head was always telling me Newcastle have been very good and Burnley are **** so all we'd probably need was a point but I could never make myself believe it in reality
