You get what you deserve and Charlton's campaign wasn't good enough to stay in the Championship in the end after a 4 - 0 trouncing by Champions Leeds

After the euphoria of last season when Charlton were promoted in the play-offs after beating Sunderland, it looks like it will be much harder and a very long haul to get back to the Championship again with the current lack of stability at the club.

The team had plenty of chances in these last 9 games to either win or draw, just a draw against Birmingham would've done, but they weren't taken and it didn't happen. Macauley Bonne tried his best stepping up from the national league and should be pleased with his efforts over the season overall with the absence of a second prolific striker. Other clubs relegated last night included Hull City also experiencing a miserable campaign, and undeservedly Wigan Athletic, the in-form team, on a 12 points deduction.

Our congratulations go to Leeds on their return to the Premier League as Champions and wishing them a successful return there. Both Barnsley and Luton Town did well to win their games so congratulations go to them for staying in the league.
