Just wondered how common this is.
We take my son to sports club (he's 5) on a saturday morning. He is right handed when it comes to writing, holding a paint brush, using his various swords etc.
However, give him a cricket bat and suddenly his left hand is the dominant one and he smashes the ball beautiful going left-handed.
Is this a common thing? I've not seen it before but I could just be totally missing a common hting.
I've seen it before, Jammy. Children whose dominant side is right taking off on the 'wrong' leg for the High Jump, javelin throwers doing the same.
Wouldn't give it a second thought, bud.

Sadly, Even now, at 5, I know it won't be football - he'll play but he has no real love for it and you can see it the way he plays.
Mind - I'm just happy he's enjoying a sport XD
Both of my sons are left handed, doctor said the youngest was influenced by the older one, but both two footed but right foot stronger than the left.Quote:
