Got to be cobblers! Yes he was at the game but he is a failure as a manager even by our standards!
I really hope this isn’t true. Says a lot if we have to nab some pundit to take over. He’s in demand for managerial jobs? surely not. This better not be true.
I don’t support the baggies as I used to and my last game was way before the pandemic. A part of me now (like some here) are just fed up of it.
I don’t even check the scores.
I just get the feeling we’re being mugged financially and that fat ron is siphoning money out via his old pals. Come to West Brom if you want a short career- the compensation payment to sack a manager. It’s easy money. It’s probably why Bruce can’t be bothered, his last pay check - he must regard us fans in high esteem.
Keane, what has he ever done as a coach, another nobody living off playing as a thug for Manure, frightening, give over, couldn’t knock a skin off a rice pudding
Keane was the best player in his position that I ever witnessed in person whilst watching Albion.
To knock his playing ability and sheer drive and determination as a player and captain is just ridiculous.
One of my best friends used to work for Diadora and Roy Keane was one of the players who he managed.
He told me that on a one to one basis that Roy is a really nice bloke, he just hates fakers, fakery and “brown nosers”.
My friend asked him why he stuck with a Diadora boot contract paying just a few thousand £’s when big brands we’re offering him over a million a year.
The reason, because when he was a nobody as a young player in Ireland Diadora gave him his first free boots.
He’s all about loyalty and team.
Megson was universally disliked, maybe it’s another dose of hard headed leadership we need.
Don’t know about you mate but I’m f u c k I n g sick of the fakers and lightweights taking the p I s s out of our club.
Hi Mick, I wasn’t knocking his playing ability, that stands on its own, it’s this manager malarkey, because he played for Manure and comes across as a hard man the media are all over it, I want a young inspiring coach who sees a mixture of youth and experience, I would love to see if Cleary could play upfront with Asante, never see it whilst Bruce is here, it’ll be Grant ffs
I wouldn’t be against Keane .... we need a hard nosed no nonsense type to sort out the s**t show which is our toxic dressing room. We were promised a clear out by Bruce ... never happened. We still have that same bunch or under performers who have been there for 2-3 years .... some longer.
He's a bully and his time at Villa was frigging horrible. A womble is an upgrade on Steve Bruce
If true HE must be mad
Post Dan Ashworth the clubs recruiting has been diabolical to say the least.
There remains at the club a core of players (we know who they are), often referred to as Senior players whose influence both on the pitch and the dressing room are pulling the rest down.
We are in a cycle where a new manager accepts the job and honestly believes our squad is capable of much better things with just a bit of TLC and a good talking to.
Then after a while they realise, they were wrong. Player power rules at WBA, the same old dogs don’t want to learn new tricks. Recruitment of poor-quality players not only with poor technical skills but lacking the winning mentality and desire.
Even Big Sam who was a success at most clubs said the task was bigger than he anticipated. Val was undermined by player power. Bruce did say it would take 3 transfer windows, and he is correct, or at least until those contracts expire.
As the expression goes it’s like flogging a dead horse.
Zohore, Bartley, Livermore, Phillips, Furlong escorted out of the premises and put on gardening leave please. Drastic but required.
Add Grant to that list.
