Alzheimer’s and care home death.
A lot is being made in the media about care home deaths and especially tonight that of one particular lady “refused” access to hospital.
This lady had Alzheimer’s and had recently had a bad fall which had seen her go downhill.
I’m not an unsympathetic person and I have a father in law who’s 91 this year and who is in a home for over three years now,it’s a long time since he’s even known who he is.
He’d hate seeing himself as he is now,a proud man wearing a nappy sat staring into space all day with virtually no vocabulary left in his head.
People at the home saying “it’s terrible, she’s died too soon”.
FFS.....late 80’s......married for 65 years and gone “too soon”.
The NHS didn’t want to admit her because of the fear she’d contract Covid.
I despair at times at the hand wringing that goes on with some people looking for a media opportunity.
There is no blame to apportion here.
