I will call our Sporting Director's judgement into question though by posing the following question.
If your only choice for manager/head coach was between McInnes,Mackay,Kettlewell or Fox place them in order of preference.
My choice would be.....
McInnes
Mackay
Kettlewell
Fox
He may well have been Nero's outstanding candidate but he certainly would not have been mine.
The fiddle hadnie been invented but to be fair to Nero he wasnie even in Rome during the fire he was on holiday.
It's as though we have been sleep walking towards relegation, and this weekend was the car crash, from which there is no turning back, but the driver of the vehicle is telling all the passengers in Dads Army style, 'Don't panic, we can still make top 6!'
It's as though fate is against us too, Butcher feckn about, Courts feckn off, Ross a feckn disaster on a scale no one could have predicted, combined with the mismanagement of the club on a ridiculous scale producing the ultimate sh1t show. Looks like Motherwell have gambled and it may well pay off, though they don't seem much better run than us and will probably stay up on the back of a couple of management bounces.
The fact that County and Kilmarnock both lost should offer some consolation as they are still within reach, but at the same time, it almost makes it more annoying that we didn't win as we could have gone ahead of them. The other problem is that we are running out of weeks/games - it's all very well hoping that these other teams keep losing but sooner or later we will HAVE TO collect some points if we want to survive. In fact, forget later - now!
