Apart from his inability to use subs it seems a bit drastic to demand the managers head.
A 2-0 defeat would have been acceptable and had he shored up the squad that would have been the outcome.
When I say acceptable, few would have expected much better away from home against the league leaders who will inevitably be promoted, but to lose another two late goals through naivety or being bloody stubborn is not acceptable.
There are many decent fans at Palmy who have been suggesting - some might say advising the manager that making the best use of your subs is at the very least sensible.
Perhaps like Ole at Man U he needs to take a long hard look at his tactics and at least ask for help.
The man lacks passion and talking up the opposition beforehand is hardly motivational for the team. That's before you get into the argument of changing formations, not knowing his strongest eleven as well as playing players out of position. Only one solution is to replace him with someone who can get the best from this squad of players.
There is something there with AJ as we saw with that Queens side during his first stint but he might have just been lucky with the core of players he had then. We still have some time before Christmas and I wouldn't be against bringing someone else in as part of the coaching staff in the short term to see if that has any impact.
now your wanting action guys last few seasons have been a shambles under johnstone ,but again if we boot him out and bring someone else in what then ,yes we might get the new manager bounce for a few games then its back to the same players ,no point bringing another guy in until hewitson either joins him out the door or gives backing to a new man simple as that we could keep throwing managers in with this squad of players i cant see most managers do well with this lot .
Some sort of action needs to be taken especially as we head into the new year where a number of players contracts will be up and we end up having to rebuild the squad again (although I am glad now we have a couple on longer deals).
Peter Grant has fallen on his sword at East End Park yesterday. I wonder if the Pars will go for AJ and Sandy again? LOL
albertz thats prob the only way queens will see a new man in charge within next few months as hewitson wont want to pay to sack johnstone and clark whom just signed new 2 year deals at start of season ,so lets hope thay get poached by the pars as that would force hewitsons hand .
