Just seen this on BBC sport. What a shock! No report of cause on the BBC.
Andy Scoffin's said he understands it was one of those sudden heart failure cases - might have happened any time in a match if that's correct, like that Bolton player at Spurs (but who survived.) If so, let's hope the poor lad knew nothing about it.
The original post on the official Alex site said heart attack (or heart failure) but that was quickly removed from the full tribute.
Have to wait for the post mortem to publish such things. Still, the most dreadful news and puts the fact that we can’t go up as champions into perspective.
So sad at such a young age. Thoughts with his family.
