He's entitled to a 'non-Covid influenced' go at refreshing the team. He got us up to fifth, and into Europe; that's worth some mileage. Apart from that, I'd be a bit fearful that we'd pick up one of the numerous managers who'd been sacked by other clubs. Our football last season was a hard, hard watch, and I share the view that the manager might have made better use of his resources on occasion. But if 'football is a results business', then we got what we needed when the chips were down at Livi and Dingwall, and we could easily have come back from Tannadice with a point or three.
I'm content, if not actually happy, to watch how the new season pans out before making a judgment.
