Sunny intervals and a moderate breeze predicted in Dingwall tomorrow......😎
I still think we're looking for the right balance of playing open, attacking football, and making it difficult for teams to play and score against us.
I agree that we could have shown a bit more urgency against Aberdeen but when we went all-out attack against Hearts, we got punished.
Also, whilst I'm more than happy with where we are at the moment, 3 things would make a big difference for us (in my opinion) -
1 - play either Louis or Biamou up front, Clark isn't the answer as the lone striker
2 - PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE stop bringing everyone back to defend corners and free kicks. Leaving no-one up the park to get on the end of a clearance is madness. You give the opposition another chance to get a cross in if the first one is cleared.
3 - When we have the height advantage at our corners and free kicks, hang the ball above the penalty spot to give Edwards and Mulgrew something to attack. The amount of times the ball is drilled in and either hits the first defender or goes too long is criminal.
I'm sure Tam looks in on this forum so I expect all of this to be addressed for tomorrow's game.
I'm predicting game off.
If and when it goes ahead then I expect a close encounter.
'Game off' may suit us long-term, in terms of clearing up some of the injury doubts.
But I hope it goes ahead as I was looking forward to it.
It’s horrendous currently but looking at the forecast for Dingwall tomorrow I don’t see any reason why the game will be off.
Excellent news James.
Take it away United!
We need to build on last week's 3 points.
They will surely go on the attack being at home, and desperate to back up their good win vs the Hibs.
We know how to deal with that, we can hit on the break and them to concede corners and - hopefully - some free kicks around their 18 yd box.
Mulgrew is due to stick one away in the top corner. Hope it comes tomorrow.
