I have a couple of vines trained up an over a grape arbour I purpose built. One is a 'table' grape and one a 'juicing' grape. As Crash says, keeping them under control in the growing season is a job in itself. I'd say in a good year mine produce about 25-50lbs each and the birds/squirrels/chipmunks get most of those.
Does anyone still grow gooseberries?

Mine are the same although no birds nests I can see. They look like they need a COVID-19 haircut the way they've gone these past couple of weeks. After I pruned them hard in November I've gone from, "Maybe I killed them" back in March to "I wish I'd killed them" in June XD
How do they keep millions of vines on vinyards to about 4 feet wide , with tons of grapes on?
I get up in the morning and its like day of the triffids.
