What a night. I watched it from the steep north terracing, just below the championship flag. I'll never forget it.
There is another pic in the McLean book (which I don't think I should upload here because I had a one-use copyright) taken a full hour, probably more, after the final whistle. It is of a couple of hundred of United supporters in The Shed who had stayed to sing long and loud, and Jim came out to say thanks.
I reckon those supporters had grasped the magnitude of what had really happened. They got the utmost out of an occasion that was unique in Scottish football history, and the city of Dundee's history. It was incredible.
UEFA invented their fair play award because of what their representatives had seen that night at Tannadice.
That night was when we really started being "the world famous".
