3 Promotions from below championship level .
What's not to like ?
Did you see that interview he did this season, where he was getting very tetchy. And he basically told the bloke to eff off because he wasn't asking the right questions. 😄
Pretty animated manager is Paul Cook , to say the least .
I expected him to do well at Ipswich Animal, but didn't appear to. Then he went to Chesterfield and they went from table toppers to just making the play-offs ( though they are winning tonight). If you'd asked me previously, I'd have said yes but not sure now.
Maybe our interest in Cook will have a lot to do with Chesterfield's promotion hopes.
At Lg one level Id say he might be a good choice, but admittedly hes struggled since leaving the Wigan job when they went down.
Exactly my thoughts
I actually respect the bloke for taking the Chesterfield job , not many would be prepared to drop down to that level with his cv but it tells me he loves working with players and he loves managing .
I understand the reason Chesterfield fell away since his arrival from the top of the league was a load of injuries to key players and I suspect at that level the squad won't be the biggest .
At Ipswich he had a few quid but it didn't work out , it happens .
Warnock had fails at Oldham , Bury and Leeds United , it happens .
In my opinion Duff and Cook fit what plenty of supporters have been crying out for , know the league , experienced with promotions on their cv's .
