Sean Longstaff
I'm not his biggest fan at all and i have been less than amused that we are trying to tie him down to a 4 year deal.
He is already 5th choice or even 6th if Hayden was fit and in the squad but he played really well yesterday, he was in a more offensive role and was all about the pitch. The little dink to set up Wilson was almost perfect.
He didnt have the body language of someone who is leaving either yet St Maximan walked off and the first thing i thought was "hes off in the summer" i wouldn't be bothered if either of them left but credit where its due, they all got 10/10 from me for last night. Would have loved to have been sat next to Merson watching the game

I wasn't blown away by him last night. Solid but unspectacular. That position is too important for just settle for his level of quality. .
Fraser gives 10x more and, although he gets a lot of stick, prefer Murphy there. Sean offers more defensively but I'd prefer to see him go than some others.
I think Miggy's time might be up. But not trying to hound him out because his pace remains a problem for many teams.

Simply not good enough for where we are going.

They could be using reverse psychology, basically tying Longstaff down to a new contract instead of letting him leave for free. Sending the message to other clubs that we value him but would sell if a decent offer came in
Eddie wants us to be a more possession based team so can't see how Sean fits into that as his ball retention is crap most of the time

He has too low a performance ceiling for me. Solid equals passenger to where we want to be.
Name me a "soiid" City first teamer?
