Come now, Swale...that’s a bit harsh.
I mean...apart from the handshaking fiasco, the delayed response to Coronavirus, the Marcus Rashford lies, the lack of leadership over Cummings, the nonsense about there being no App used elsewhere, the untruths about the numbers of children who returned to school in June, the ‘A’ levels cock up, the migrant care worker U turn, the face mask U turn, the misleading over a No Deal Brexit and the regular disappearing tricks...what else is there?
Actually you can probably come up with a few more but that’s what we have to expect when we elect a known and proven liar, whose role model is the ‘nut job’ across the Atlantic, as PM.
Careful though...you’ll have GP - or should that be TB (Tory Boy) - on your case, because of course he’s only the PM and therefore cannot be blamed for any of the above or, before you mention it, be held responsible for anything else at all...ever!
If you believe the conspeorists their job was to **** things up and manufacture a situation where wages were reduced and people accepted it in order to keep their jobs. Another part of their job was to find some way of keeping tabs on the "peasants" and a vaccine with an in built tracking device. Add to that launching 5G which, depending on the conspeorists point of view, causes Corona, fries your brain, causes your blood to boil. They have even latched on to the recently launched idea (from a private company that wasn't hired by the shambles) of a health passport that will enable you to attend events at full venues (counts the Sh1tty Ground out then....) for sport, concerts, plays etc as further proof of Big Brother ........ the company takes a blood sample, gives you the result inside 10 minutes and you get a "passport" on your mobile saying you are Corona free for 2 weeks. For a football season you'd probably need 20 tests which would cost you £300 on top of travel, match ticket, food and drink..... like that has mileage in it? Plus, get tested today, infected tomorrow and you're safe to infect thousands for the next 13 days....... what great ideea.... NOT.
I have a couple of good friends who are well known to the conspeorist community. We disagree on many things conspiratorial but remain friends.
I’m not one for conspiracy theories, MA. I was simply thinking of the impending B****t ‘negotiations’.
Seems to me, because of the size of their majority, the only thing that can now stop a ‘no deal’ B-word is the more reasonable Tories seeing sense, recognising the mistake they’ve made and having the balls to stand up to Johnson, Cummings and the Whips.
Admittedly in the Observer, so one has to acknowlege the slant, but the guy quoted is a senior Tory!
Boris Johnson is facing a showdown with furious Conservative MPs over his government’s chaotic handling of Covid-19, as a new poll shows the Tories have surrendered a massive lead over Labour in just five months.
As MPs prepare to return to Westminster on Tuesday, Charles Walker, who is vice-chair of the 1922 committee of Conservative backbenchers, told the Observer that a recent string of U-turns had left many colleagues in despair, with some struggling to support and defend their government to constituents. Governing by U-turn in this way, he said, was unsustainable.
Walker, who is normally counted as a firm Johnson loyalist, said: “Too often it looks like this government licks its finger and sticks it in the air to see which way the wind is blowing. This is not a sustainable way to approach the business of governing and government.
“It is becoming increasingly difficult for backbenchers now to promote and defend government policy as so often that policy is changed or abandoned without notice. Whether this approach is by design or by accident, the climate of uncertainty it creates is unsustainable and erodes morale.”
The funny thing is that the Tory party is as riven with different factions as the Labour or indeed any other party is. But of course rarely does the right wing press shine a light on this.
One can draw an analogy with the Republicans Party in the USA, where being in power means that those who are not far right are prepared to hold their nose so to speak and ignore the unpalatable areas until matters get a bit flaky.
We shall see, but if even this early on before any election some Tories are getting the jitters with whats happening - and I'd wager the latest proposals on planning deregulation will scare the **** out of many Tory MP's, we could ahve an interesting few months.
If they **** up a Brexit deal, that will only add to the mix, though I fully expect them to reach an agreement that will look suspiciously like a Customs Union/ Norway option although of course it won't be spun that way.
Unbelievable performance in PMQ’s this morning.
Asked twice, very directly, by Kier Starmer when he knew there was a problem with the education algorithm that has caused such confusion, the PM avoided answering the question and launched an IRA based attack on Starmer.
Utterly disgraceful nonsense imo but, given such a astonishing level of deflection, is it possible that TTR’s disappearance is down to him having become Johnson’s new adviser? ;D
