Jwok it’s a bad day when we have to rely/Hope on other teams doing us a favour. Probably nobody gives us a chance tomorrow night against Celtic. IMO it’s free hit for us to and get team selection and tactics sorted for the game on Saturday at Perth where it is already becoming a 6 pointer
Not what we needed at all and now we are only four points above the playoff spot. It’s a very tight league where outwith the OF anyone can beat anyone on their day so it’s ***** that we start doing this as we have a favourable run of fixtures after tonight. St.Johnstone away on Saturday then St.Mirren and Killie at home after the World Cup, these are games that we need to be picking up points in.
LSM and JWOK - you are both spot on. Other teams at the lower end of the division are getting results and we are not, and the next few games are ones from which we must take points. I am now starting to get worried that we are in relegation form. I’ve seen this before - losing a high percentage of games by the odd goal, injuries depriving us of players and luck going against us (deflections, hitting woodwork, wrong ref calls etc). This time we seem to have added poor use of VAR by the officials- Lamie’s jersey pull not checked, last night’s throw in ‘header’ etc.
I am fine with Hammy as manager, but a run of various factors are not going our way/his way right now. We do lack a bit of grit/fire in the belly type of player such as Peter Hartley before his injury reduced his pace, but someone with his on-field leadership and defensive organisational skills would be a good addition in January, if possible. A midfield ‘general’, speedy winger and striker would be good, too, but a very big ask, particularly in the January window.
Right, I’m off to write a letter: “Dear Santa, For Christmas this year I would like.......”
