I saw most of the second half and extra time. Apart from that Oxford winger, there wasnt a footballer on the pitch who could take the ball down and make it talk. All the players were tough hard working journeymen who couldnt muster a decent pass between them.
The Matt Le tissiers, Frank Worthingtons, George Best types have been coached out of the game. Its now world war one battle of attrition, gaining and losing a yard.
Thats not football. Its not worth tuppence. The similarities between Oxford and Cambridge are extraordinary, same colours, same roots, similar careers in the league.
