Morecambe will finish rock bottom, then Cambridge, Cheltenham then Wimbledon. Cant be far off there. You have to ask how on earth Morecambe and United got there in the first place.
Last seasons div 2 must have been a poor place . Div 2 cant be far off being non league standard, after all, Mullin came to United as a failed striker, not having made an impact anywhere else.
Div 2, like non league, is physical, div 1 will be where the players can make the ball talk a bit more. Hard work and effort may keep United off the bottom. Thats 24th, not escaping relegation.
Next season was an ideal opportunity to establish United in a higher league, sparking an upward spiral, bigger gates, sponsorship, TV etc.
Instead, because the owners lack the required investment, it will be a relegation and back to square one. But being Cambridge, its still quids in because its not non league, an ever present threat.
It makes me wonder about the wisdom of spending a million on infrastructure, when it could have gone on the playing budget. After all, being treated like cattle in regards to the rest rooms, can become normal and ignored.
If thats what the moneys for.
Then the huge sums spent on the community trust, how many players could that have signed up, or even bought. You cant dilute the reason for your existence without paying for it. What i mean by that is getting relegated. And going down inhibits the growth and development of everything.
Its the tyranny of socialism.
In this case its 23rd, according to Oddschecker.
There are many devoted United fans begging for a winning team. How much of your entry fee goes elswhere??? There needs to be a new CFU, thats not a lapdog.
