Must win game. First shot on target, a centre half in injury time. The mind boggles.
IF Hanley had done better on 90+ we're through to the last 16.
And Clarke would have been a hero.
But....
Fine margins.
I think we need to reset. Don't want another qualifying campaign under Clarke's demeanour.
Moyes might get a chance, perfect timing for him.

There is a time when folk just have to move on for numerous reasons. This is one of them for me. It's a huge thanks for the last few years, been great. When things are going great , folk tend not to pick on the smaller details, and questions don't get asked so often. But... now, questions are being asked, there can be, u m p t e e n replys, they won't satisfy everyone.
I wouldn't be that upset if he stayed on and got a fully fit squad (never guaranteed) together and played maybe a different system. See? I'm even dain it misel.
As in most things in life, there is a perfect time to say goodbye. This might be it for Steve and us.

Shame it wasn't in Italy... Lovely sang tho.....
What to me was most noticeable about last night was Hungary decided to let Scotland have the ball and the players were clueless about what to do with it. It was almost as if they had made no planning on what to do if Hungary adopted these tactics. This is unforgivable. And to wait until the 77th minute to make any substitutions was utterly baffling. Clarke has done well to get us to qualifying for tournaments but he is not cut out to take us to the next level. Far too cautious and one dimensional.
Time for Clarke to step aside or be stepped aside, he hasnt been the worst by a long shot but new blood is needed.
With this type of play Greece won several years ago and were honking before, during and after the competition, but the style now is too predictable.
Clarke had no idea of tactics until too late.
The Scottish way is to go for the win from the off, and then sub as players are knackered rather than play like fannies and sub players who look fresh!!! Boggling.
McLean at left back was absolutely mindblowing. We have a left back on the bench ffs. As soon as that change was made, they destroyed our left hand side. McLean was so uncomfortable. He genuinely looked like he'd never played the position before, oh wait.
Then you have James Forrest. Practically won Celtic the league in the end with his return from injury. 5 goals in 9 games. A genuine attacking player on form, but didn't even get a sniff.
Don't get me started on Che Adams or the fact McTominay was playing most of the game as a centre forward. Wtf???
F*ck Clarke. That one's definitely on him.
Would be happy to see him go now.
Notwithstanding this clusterphuck of a tournament, it’s also the end of SC’s cycle really. That’s 3 tournaments he’s taken from qualifiers though to (in two cases) the Finals. It’s rare for international managers in general to stay beyond that really. Vincente Del Bosque got sacked after winning back to back World Cups and Euros FFS!
It’s Davie Moyes’s time. It just feels like the right thing to do.
