    Bored.

Man City to win the league again, the clubs are in the position commensurate ith their access to money, its not sport. Sport is every team having a chance, god forbid an equal chance.

Yet you people keep shelling out, while the players rake it in, and the owners. Oh, and the tv companies.....you pay.

What chance has Norwich or Leeds got next season if they go up? None.

Football is a brilliant system to get you to stump up, while providing the imaginary kudos of winning, which you wont, like Cambridge.

You will hope though, and pay big bucks for it, how much is a cambridge season ticket, to watch clods?, are you crazy?

Pro football is just that, its about money, not for you though, your pay back is.......a goal now and then, hope, the absence of doom, the imagined achievement of escaping relegation.

Games are boring, only the teams change, every game is the same, its like going to see Macbeth, evey week for eight months.

Every move, occurence is analysed by Shulman on the radio, his mood palpably changed by events on the pich, when United are behind, he is depressed.

Which is most of the time. Football is a ritual. True sport will be Shrewsbury getting promoted to the prem, Everton in div 4.

True drama will be in there, that the deciding factors will not be money. Keep paying, keep getting mugged.

I thought that this thread was gonna be about sitting at home watching it p1ssing it down instead of lazing by the river in the sunshine

You are right about the top half of The Premiership being boring but it can get more exciting in the bottom half seeing who survives the drop from the mega money, the last time thst I looked (and it was a few years ago now) even the bottom club got around £65 million and then there was three years of parachute payments afterwards,do parachute payments still exist,I honestly don’t know but it certainly helps in The Championship against clubs who never made the jump into the top flight

Go lower league if you want a more exciting game to watch,Wisbech or Cambridge City is where is at Frank and a fraction to watch

I dont do complaints i do much worse. I see Ely a couple of times early every season, and decide not to. Its like watching the one show, or any BBC programme, that to go regularly is to invite incredulity.

It says everything that i then motor 20 miles to watch Wisbech.

If i have to decide between watching the repair shop and Ely, i would choose the electrified fence at Auschwitz. How about renovating your garden, DIY at 8-00pm, prime time entertainment.

Cheap rubbish. Sitting down and turning a light on and off, thats entertainment socialist britain.

So you have given up on Carlton then. Im on the brink of giving up football altogether, its like reading page 85 of women on top by Nancy Friday. Again.

Football is like a hamster on a wheel, i urge you to stop going, immediately, i am superior and will always act in your best interest like this.

In fact you can join me in my quest to change football, and plunge Cambridge back into the lower leagues. Sharpen your pencil, sharpen your tongue and post denigrating remarks.

Its fun. Give up caring, its for fools, you will get heart disease, if you have one. Indeed, a short cut to mental health is to give up caring full stop. Stop going to county.

I don’t support Carlton as such Frank but I do go with a neighbour about 5/6 times a season as he supports them,a free lift down there and back and a pie n drink at halftime is a good afternoon out of the house

What’s so special about page 85 of Woman On Top or was you being flippant?

You shouldn’t give up football altogether as it’s obvious that you’ve had a deep interest in it for a long time, keep going to non league where you money will go further and the club appreciates more

I had never heard of Trevor Howard before except for the actor, was there a song sung about him from the terraces when he played coz it would be guaranteed if he played today

As entertainmnent, go onto the county board and mock the 87 goals conceded, suggest the manager is an alien, and say that if you had a county season ticket you would set light to it, whoever the chairman is, tell him to get out. Ill back it up tonight suggesting you are well founded in your views. Or something like that, remember, its fun. Dont get all presbyterian.

Ask if there are any low mileage pit ponies up for a party.

Why should I go on the Notts board talking crap?

The owners are best that we’ve had in decades and the supporters are fully aware of our defence issues so going on there doing that woukd onky make look like a two hat
