The real test will be judged by which senior players we retain, which are allowed to leave or force their way out and most importantly, who they are replaced by.

The latter statement is something this ownership have been particularly poor at in the past so time will tell.

Contracts in general run out tomorrow so there will be plenty of freebies on the market and that will fit our budget.
I thought it was june 30 th that contracts run to but either way it should be an interesting summer .

Jonathan Bland has signed a new deal with Barnsley until 2028, with a club option for another year.

Don?t anybody panic about summer signing. We?ve been promised early business.
By my reckoning that?s 10.30pm on deadline day not 10.55. lol.

NB Take your pick of deadline days as there are 2 this summer. Weirdos.

We have a top heavy squad with some mediocre ones amongst them, I see pruning the squad down as important as bringing in some new talent, getting the wage bill down and some sensible recruitment will hopefully be the way but Conor for me has to have a shopping list and not the usual data/ spreadsheet nonsense which has been a disaster in recent times, leave it him and his staff to identify targets and let the suits do the paperwork.

Barnsley are the latest club to show an interest in Crystal Palace young keeper Owen Goodman, with the Premier League side expected to let the keeper leave Selhurst Park on loan this summer.

Goodmans time with the Wimbledon was particularly successful, as he starred for Johnnie Jacksons side as they won promotion to League One, keeping 24 clean sheets in the process, which included a shut-out in the 1-0 play-off final win over Walsall.

    Bolton also sniffing.

    Latest article from Doug:

There’s some good out of contract players still knocking about so hopefully we can get some of them in shortly.

The player(s) to be sold could be interesting. I think Phillips is nailed on to join a championship side, probably Preston. DKD will obviously have his suitors but I’m hoping we hold out on him and either keep him or get an incredibly inflated fee. Russell and Connell probably the only other players that could be in the mix to be sold.
