We should have been 3 or 4 up before they scored, second half we started to fade and they got their second but we still had our chances but were lucky not to lose it in injury time. Now we are 3-2 up and it's ours to lose. That big German from Harry Potter is worrying though.

So pleased for the players and Lee Carsley once again ---another trophy won.
We were excellent in the first half but didn't put our chances away ---always somehting which can come back to bite you.
Second hald we reverted to modern English football with sideways and backwards passing and it cost us but didn't cost us the match.
However, we were lucky to go into extra time because we reverted to backwards and sideways, lost the ball and they hit the bar! in the last few seconds.
Rowe came on, we put the ball in the boc and he scored a lovely goal which proved to be the winner. Well done to all, you worked hard for this success.

I had not realised that a good proportion of the England squad ply their trade in France, soon to be joined of course by CJ Egan Riley.

The injury to Alex Scott, who was having a great game, almost cost us. Unsettled us and we lost our shape. I went to bed at 4.00am and missed the extra time, but a great win, well done Carsley.

The Kraut deliberately took him out of the game and the referee did nothing.

When we lost the 2-0 lead I was beginning to dread a repeat of the disaster in Leon in the 1970 World Cup. A great win for Carsley and his under 21 side. Full credit to those who went to Slovakia to play for their country. Absolutely nil points to those who swanned off to FIFA’s utterly pointless Club World Cup.
