I see in Inside Crewe that someone complained about the Alex's marketing ploy of issuing cards labelled season tickets because their child was upset when the parents said they couldn't afford to pay for the required adult season ticket. This in a way was to be expected, after all, whether good value or not, the cost as a lump sum is a hefty one for a family with not a lot of spare cash.
However, in the publicity surrounding the launch, it wasn't specifically stated that the adult had to buy a season ticket, just that the child had to be accompanied. To me that included the idea of single match tickets. However, I didn't actually see the blurb on those 'tickets' - it may have been explicit with the conditions. Whatever, I wonder if the Alex came up with some offer to placate the individual, which in itself could be a smart move for the future? The idea of the 'season ticket' was a good one as long as conditions were crystal clear. I wonder how many 'extra' real tickets were sold!
