100%. I'd feel more comfortable at our 1st bid TBH. 50 max. Lets not be blaise about these numbers. Say it slow. 45 million pounds. Phew.

I think problem is that prices have moved on since we bough Isak.

Also Howe tends to like a player with prem experience which will cost more.

Sadly I don't think we can use the valuation of players we bought unless it's previous season really - it's a joke but that's how I see it.

I also don't think it's worth going higher than ?55 million and even that is very top end, I'm hoping it's less and add ons.

I agree with you mostly fella.

Prices have moved on, it just feels like a hell of a leap, but I guess this is now market value with the likes of Cunha and Mbuemo.

The lad is only 23, only turned that in April, so he’s got time to improve, last season when Forest had a brilliant season he played all 38 (which is a good sign) and scored 6 goals with 11 assists.

Not sure his end product is right up there yet, I think he offers something different to Murphy which is good… he actually takes defenders on and has more pace than Murphy, and at his age he’ll stand up to a full season.

If we buy him, I guess it’s time for Eddie to show what he can do to improve him, but I just hope we don’t see the same pattern we saw with Tonali, Hall, Tino, and don’t really see much of him on the pitch h for the first 1/3 of the season, and he has a full pre-season and we get that period out of the way that way.

I’m quite excited to see what he can do with Tino down that side, could have 2 very good flanks with Hall & Gordon and Tino and Elanga.

It’s also another Swedish player, and gives both of them more chance to firmly claim national spots if they are playing together… Isak will be competing with Gyokeres for his spot, who will move this summer to Prem most likely, so Isak has a battle on his hands and hopefully see’s playing with Elanga HERE another good reason to sign a new contract, to improve his chances of starting for Sweden over Gyokeres.

Another reason that psr spending needs to be increased. Ridiculous increase on player prices. A 20 million pound player, 3 years ago. Is 60 million today

Lots of reports the bid has been accepted.

If we could get him and Trafford in before 7th so they can go off to pre-season, would be a brilliant start.

    apparently so. I've heard 50+5 and 52.5 + 5mil so dunno.

I dont really care. The deal is getting done and that's all that matters.

Next will be Trafford and the Scalvini links are getting louder and stronger.

The other link's I've seen picking up speed is around Amiri Richardson. That kid is a unit.

All 4 of these get done before we fly out to Asia then all the whiners should come back to the chat and apologies for being fannies hahahahaha

The more I've been thinking about Scalvini the more I can see it happening.

He is type of bargin we look at, great but been injured so a risk but these risks have often paid off for us before.

Also brings in another italian for Toni which we seem to try and do.

me too. I was sceptical at first but the lad has been touted as this generations Maldini. Whether he gets to those kinds of levels remains to be seen. For 30-35m the kid could well develop into a 80million quid player. A future stalwart for Italy. No mean feat. to be consider the future of Italy's Central defence.

    It's akin to to Brazil's No.9 or Argentina's No.10.

At his age the ACL isn't as devastating as it used to be.

Also as you said Bringing in an other Italian will only help to make Tonali feel more at home.

My 2nd choice, who would cost double I guess, would be Silva at Benfica. Those guys know how to develop and sell players. So he won't be cheap.

Scalvini will be a real coup. Much the same as Tonali was when we swooped for him.

Been locked out of here for 3 days. Have you missed me? ?..thought not.

Anyway, always thought Elanga was sh*t but now hes signing for us, hes mint.

Seriously though, you just have to go along with players that Eddie wants - the proofs in the pudding.
