Assuming Targett goes back in at LB, would you keep him in against Liverpool? I would but I'd actually play Burn alongside him.

I'd do exactly that Zip, and if I were in a cheeky mood, I'd drop Longstaff and put Schär up ahead of the defence as a defensive midfielder. Schär is a clever player, defensive-minded but with a nose for a goal. Could be a good role for him against Liverpool.

Longstaff, however, is only slightly better than Mackem Jack Colback. Both players do not have the level for Premier League, although I would for Sean to be a succes.

Like it. Schar looks like a DM the way he plays and hes got a long range shot.

Totally agree with this. I would go something like:

    Tripps...... Booty..... Burny..... Targs
    ......................... Schar...........................
    ........... Willock............ Joelinton.......
    Fraser..........................ASM(or Murphy)
    ........................ Isak................................

Dont think Howe will start Isak, but I hope.

I seem to remember we tried Schar in a DM role in an early game last season (iirc) and I recall thinking that he looked a bit lost in the position. One game however is not a very useful sample size tbh and also, most players looked lost under cabbagehead

    Great shout.

Would be good to see it tried.

Limited reason not to against Liverpool at Anfield to.

It's to a degree a free game in expectations.

Aye, I think hes played there before. But like you say, that was under Mrs. Doubtfire.
