Wolves v Sheffield Wednesday Matchday Thread.

Some interesting match facts on the BBC site and we will see what becomes of KJ's comments:-

“I want to see a high energy, very positive performance where we can take the game to them. It will be important to get the fans onside."

Wallace has the ball in the Wednesday net, but it is disallowed for offside.

    GOAL WOLVES!! 1-0!!

7' Doherty breaks into the Owls area and plays a low ball across the face of goal where Michael Turner turns into his own net.

    GOAL WOLVES!! 2-0!! GEORGE SAVILLE!!

35' Great work from Doherty who picks out Saville just outside the Owls six-yard box who finishes first time into the roof the net.

Good to see we are scoring some goals at home.

Some saying that was our best half at home this season. Came against a Wednesday side that made 10 changes from their last match to rest up for the playoffs, but still better to take a victory into the offseason (should we hold the lead) than another dull scoreless draw or loss.

Also, Boro 1-1 Brighton. That result holds, Boro go up. Brighton need another goal, but they are down to 10 men after their scorer Dal Stephens got a red card for putting a deep gash in Gaston Ramirez' leg.

We certainly didn't want that all-time record of 5 consecutive 0-0 draws at home Mich. Although a 0-0 draw would have been better than a defeat!

Handball against Wolves in the box, Wednesday get a penalty and they convert. McGugan sent Ikeme the worng way. 2-1

    Goal Sheffield Wednesday. 2-1.

90' Lewis McGugan steps up, sends Ikeme the wrong way and fires the penalty low to the 'keeper's left.
