End of Season - Players released / offered new contracts

With Bobby Linn, Michael Travis, Kevin Nicoll and Scott Morrison already signed up for next season Sheerin has acted quickly to get his squad for next season.

In the Courier today it has stated that he has agreed a deal for himself to stay on as a player next season.

Players who have been released are:-

Johnny Lindsay
Lari Yao
Alex Keddie (got a job offshore)
Ross Chisholm
Leighton MacIntosh (Returns to Dundee from loan)
Ryan MacGeever (Returns to Falkirk from loan)
Dayle Robertson (Leaving to begin Sports Scholarship in America)

Players offered new contracts are :-

David Banjo
Ricky Little
Paul McManus
Kenny Deuchar

There is no mention regarding the following players yet:-

Colin Hamilton
Alan Cook
Sandy Wood
Connor Birse

I'd like to thank all the players for their time playing for Arbroath and for those released or leaving the club all the very best for the future.

If the players who are out of contract and have been offered to stay all sign we will still be looking for quite a few new players.

Even though they are still all 17/18 there also looks some really good young players in the Under 19's who could push through to play regularly next season.

Would hope that Cookie and Hammy will sign again. A fit Connor Birse as well. No too fussed about Wood. Imo we need a keeper to challenge Morrison for the number 1 jersey and a few additions around the park. It's a good start to the squad if these guys and those offered deals sign up. Time for the peanut to get the reinforcements in for a tilt at the title. C'mon lichties
