    Frank Kopel

Sad news that Frank Kopel has died. He was a fine footballer and although I didn't know him he seemed to be a decent man.
Condolences to his wife and family.

He was also a fine player/coach for the Red Lichties in the early 80's.

Had the pleasure to meet him a few times in fact the last time I saw him was near the end of the season before last in the midweek game when we drew 2-2 with Airdrie, I had a chat with Frank his son Scott and ex-Lichtie Charlie Adam snr and his son Grant who was suspended and another ex-Lichtie John Reilly.

Sad to say both Frank and Charlie have been taken away far too soon.

Hopefully the club does something as a mark of respect for Frank R.I.P.

Aye, he was a good guy. We both took an evening class in car maintenance at the tech around 1992 and used to pair up for the jobs requiring two people. Neither of us were much good at it though!

    RIP
