An excellent result against Barnsley with one of the best away records in the league. Two fantastic goals scored by Alfie May, the first a cracking free kick and the second a clever goal after George Dobson dummied a Gillesphey pass.
Of course Barnsley came back into the game when Phillips scored from a penalty and had plenty of chances of their own to come.
All the goal action taking place in the first half but in the 2nd the Add1cks had chances to extend their lead; Kanu heading over a Dobson cross, May shooting at goal and Aneke heading just over. The best chance came in the 4th minute of 10 long minutes stoppage time. Roberts fouled Tyreece Campbell in the box but Aneke's penalty was saved by Barnsley goalie Roberts.
But the Add1cks held out for the win, pressing and on the front foot. That's 11 games unbeaten now under Nathan Jones and things are really looking up for the end of the season.
