The results of the PL Dash have already been posted separately, but the matches for the 2023/2024 (our 21st!) league have concluded and, barring any mistakes on my part, the final table is shown above.

This update covers the final ten Premier League games. A couple of these threw up strange scorelines (Palace v Villa was more one-sided than might have reasonably been expected?), but the real world panned out much as everyone thought it would, with Man City winning the title (yet again) although Arsenal did chase them to the very end in the hope that they might slip up. They didn't.

They were split in terms of the PL Dash, but Dalek_Sec (OOxOOOOOEO), Lufcjohn88 (OOxxEOEOOO) and Sniffer999 (OxOEOOExOO) were the joint weekly top scorers with thirty points out of the available sixty. Dalek was the pick of the three (and Dash winner), only missing out at The AmEx stadium. Entirely understandable!

Hopey (OExExxOOOO) gets an honorable mention, putting in a solid effort to score 27. I've no idea how he plucked the exact 2-4 scoreline for Brentford v Newcastle out of the air, but I "hopey" he stuck some cash on it!

In terms of the final league table, Dalek had all but won won this a month or so back and he claims the 2023/2024 crown by a whopping 24 points over Cherrypie7, with Tichi1 then a close third.

Dalek_Sec is the official PL 2023/2024 winner

For the complete record, there were no draws, so any Strike One (Whitestomper45), Two or Three posters scored nowt for their lack of effort and Johnny_Default ends the season on one hundred and five points.

    The results:-

    (P) Arsenal v Everton (2-1)
    (P) Brentford v Newcastle (2-4)
    (P) Brighton and Hove Albion v Manchester United (0-2)
    (P) Burnley v Nottingham Forest (1-2)
    (P) Chelsea v AFC Bournemouth (2-1)
    (P) Crystal Palace v Aston Villa (5-0)
    (P) Liverpool v Wolverhampton Wanderers (2-0)
    (P) Luton Town v Fulham (2-4)
    (P) Manchester City v West Ham United (3-1)
    (P) Sheffield United v Tottenham Hotspur (0-3)

As a traditional (pointless!) observation, this is the top of the final table for "fixed" entries.

    One-Nil / 273 / 15 / 288
    Two-One / 267 / 21 / 288
    Two-Nil / 255 / 18 / 273
    Three-One / 252 / 18 / 270
    Three-Nil / 246 / 15 / 261
    Four-One / 243 / 15 / 258
    Three-Two / 234 / 15 / 249
    Four-Two / 225 / 15 / 240

Many thanks to those of you who took the time to enter and, assuming there's still enough interest, the 22nd version of the PL competition (with the corresponding Dash) should start again later this year!

All the best! Stay safe! Playoff time!
