    How do we fix Wolves?

Thought I'd start an offseason thread where we could discuss what changes we would make to Wolves this summer.

I know most of us would say M&M, but I don't really see it worth discussion. Morgan will leave when he sells and I imagine a new owner will bring in his own executives to run the club. So those two are tied.

I thought this would be a more useful thread concerning players and coaches.

Would you sack KJ? Who would you bring in?

What type of players do we need to bring in? Anyone specifically?

What can Wolves do to ensure that next season isn't a disappointment.

A hard one to answer, Mich. Until the club is sold and we get new owners, it is difficult to predict anything.

I can't see Jackett going in the present circumstances. Although his selections and substitutions have been more than a bit puzzling at times, I think he has completed his evaluation process. He knows who he wants to release and who he wants to get in. Contrary to common belief, he is no idiot. The way he turned things round when he took over and the way in which we won promotion was, in my view, as good a job as anyone could have done. To miss out on the play-offs in his second season only on goal difference, was harsh, but still a good season following his previous work.

The fact that Sako was not replaced with a suitable player, the fact that D1cko was injured for the season, the fact that Afobe and Stearman were sold, were not, IMHO, down to KJ. I can't remember the exact figure, but I believe that we have had something like a dozen players out through injurie

i'm not surprised that the six mentioned in the link have been released by the club. i feel Le Fondre, given a decent run could have had more of an impact for Wolves.

Razak Boukari: Injury problems, so gives Wolves no choice at all.

Tommy Rowe: Another player who's suffered injury problems, not good enough when given a go in the side.

Zeli Ismail: Never lived up to the hype and another who suffered injury problems.

Bjorn Sigurdarson: showed glimpses of what he can do, scored a decent individual goal against Middlesbrough at home in the championship relegation season. Played as a lone striker or on the wing this season, not up to it in my opinion.

Liam McAlinden: Will be remembered for his goal against MK Dons, but never managed to repeat it. A lower league player at best.

Aaron McCarey: Not up the standard required. - view external link

I'd give him the first ten games, if performances don't improve then it's time to look elsewhere.

Who would i bring in? It depends who's out there and within Wolves's budget, I think Wolves missed the boat in not giving Steve Bruce the job after McCarthy got the boot. I think Wolves will look at someone like Ian Holloway, I'd actually hope for Neil Warnock.

What type of players do we need to bring in? Anyone specifically?

Wolves need a new keeper, another central defender, a ball winner and ball playing midfielder, at least two new strikers, but not one's on loan who rarely get a look in.

What can Wolves do to ensure that next season isn't a disappointment

Do away with cautious approach, try attacking teams and stck to the same eleven as much as possible, if results go our way.

New owner, new manager or nothing changes. Grim but true.

Along with the 6 that were just released and the players returning to their home clubs from loan, I think we will lose KMac and VLP. Most would agree that the latter is not really a loss as he never performed well for as bar his debut and a few others. KMac has been good for us, but I don't think he is irreplaceable. He had an up and down year last season and this year didn't seem to have the same impact he did the previous two seasons (though losing ****o, Sako and Afobe for half the year probably didn't help).

What we add depends on what we think of a few players.

GK - I think we add one, at least on loan. Flatt may not be ready to be a full time #2.
CB - I don't think we make an addition here. Williamson should be healthy by next season, the club like Batth and Hause, Iorfa, and EEL can all play here as well.
LB - Doherty did well here. Though he doesn't really have a left foot. Wouldn't be surprised to see an addition here as Deslandes is not quite ready according to K

I agree with you apart from the first bit, KJ didn't work out his best 11 all season and season
