Lets try & get the Cheats kicked out of the game.

As I thought, the FA upheld the red card against Andy Carroll from the Swansea game. In a way their hands were tied. Once Chico Flores had conned Howard Webb with his blatant simulation, the FA were always going to back the ref.

Everyone has had enough of these cheats that are ruining our game. West Ham now have to contend with 3 ***** games without Carroll that could define their whole season and, if relegation happens as a result, cost them millions of pounds.

Let’s act now to stop these cheats from getting away with it in the future. Sign this petition and force the FA into taking action to bring in retrospective action against players guilty of simulation.

I have to disagree; however much it is against the 'spirit' of what football should be like. England needs to wake up and realise that the game has moved on. Diving and cheating are a part of it. We will both be in a World Cup soon. Teams will dive and cheat and we will suffer if we don't.

Two world cups ago Australia were eliminated in a quarter final by Italy, who eventually won the whole thing, with a blatant dive. No reminder is needed of the 'hand of god'.

You are promoting a dead concept - sportsmanship.

    Sad, but true

Sportsmanship should never be seen as a dead concept Wazza...

There are plenty of c.unty sportsmen from both here and 'them foreign places' but the day that they become the norm is the day that I stop watching football.

Fortunately I don't think that day will come...

If eveyone who "cheated" during a game of football was driven out of the game we'd be having a few games with no players turning out for either side. Or maybe 2 goalies just pumping the ball to one another.

Sure diving and conning refs are both cheating. But so is tripping, obstructing, shirt grabbing, and all the other sly little kicks and tricks that happen during every 90 minutes.

Yes, thanks for your reply - (you're right) I was very unimpressed when I posted - still am, mind you

Interesting too that in Rugby League in Australia players are now diving, over-reacting, milking penalties etc. It seems to be an increasing norm, which commentators and ex players criticise, but where coaches encourage it to get an unfair advantage.

    All about money I guess...

That's just not the case... with retrospective action against certain offences (simulation is obviously the one that gets under people's skin the most and I agree that you can't book for every little shirt pull and subtle obstruction) the cheats would just stop or reduce the frequency of the blatant falling and feigning injury. You don't think these players would somehow disappear from football do you?

Throw in 100K per week job just because they can't fall over and fake being shot anymore??

Of course they won't just throw it all in. But the OP said we should "kick out cheats". My point is that any action against the laws of the game is, in effect, cheating. Is diving worse than a sly elbow, an over the ball tackle or delib
