I don't know what was more boring, the football or Townsend banging on about the scummers.

Thought the Denmark Manager got it right when he said of England, 'Good Luck in the World Cup, you're gonna need it'.

England need to ask Brendan Rodgers to be stand-in England manager. At least the Liverpool players would play like Liverpool players then!

Who won ? I feel asleep after 20 mins , woke up at half time and then went off to watch some paint dry.
Monday's match was much better, end to end, shots, passion, workrate. Really enjoyable to watch even though there were no goals.

I didn't switch on. Very rarely watch a friendly apart from the odd Pompey away one. Looking forward to Saturday though. Hope Fb is fit for selection and can't wait for Bk's crescendo of noise

The problem is we are just not good enough or have the players with the skill or ability.

Wiltshire, Sterling, Sturridge, Cahill, Lampard, Rooney, etc etc may look good for the teams when surrounded by Hazzard, Suarez, Ozil etc.

But take these world class players put and surround them with only English players then they are not so good without the perfect pass to them, players giving them options to pass to or creating space for them.

If you look at most of the team there first touch is awful Sturridge, Rooney, Gerrard, Wallcott, Wellbeck with that sort of quality keeping the ball at international level is not easy.

Thought for a moment this was about the England Cricket team... silly me.. didn't realise the National Footie team were playing

Nearly threw the cricket away, a lot more exciting than watching England at Wembley.

Stratford Town vs Mangotsfield United on Tuesday - now that was some match. Well worth the 8 quid entry fee.

8 quid for Warks and Gloucs manglewurzle division 3 SouthWest football seems a bit steep... still when you qualify for Senior (OAP to us) it will seem more reasonable ... when are you venturing Frattonwards again ?
