116 Grounds in 116 hours charity fundraiser.

I'd just like to draw your attention to a Charity fundraising event which is taking place now.
5 football fans are attempting to drive to all 116 football league and Skrill Premier football grounds in 116 hours to raise money for @beatbloodcancer
Go to twitter @116in116 for details on how you can pay.
I paid by paypal, but I think there's also a text option.
The Lads set off from Oakwell at dinner time today (Thurs March 6th) and ground number 1 was our very own New York Stadium, followed by Hillsborough and Bramall Lane.
They are currently at Ground no 11 which I think was City Ground Nottingham.
The 116 Ground journey will be completed when they arrive back at Oakwell in hopefully 116 hours or less.
Please help support these lads by donating however much you can afford for this worthy cause.

edit...Peterborough was no 11...Forest was 9, Lincoln City was no 10.

The Lads have just completed Ground no 16, Braintree, and are now bound for Southend before heading towards London for some night time Groundhopping.
    Colchester was stop no 15.
If you're following them on Twitter, they are also putting a vine on from every stop where they recreate a different goal celebration at each venue.
2 recent ones were Totti's thumb suck and Adebayor's salute.
Well worth a follow for this superb and worthy challenge.

Here's the number you can send your donations to...I thought I'd paid by Paypal, but I remember texting this now...old age haggling my brain...BTW when I got up for work at 4.30 the lads had done 28 Grounds, and were heading towards Crystal Palace...well on track.

    Update on the 116in116 Lads.
Within the last hour they've reached their 46th ground...The Amex Stadium Brighton.
    Approx 30 hours gone.
Keep going Lads, you're doing fantastic.

Not to disuade people from donating to the fans in the opening post in any way, but some RUFC fans are doing something similar later this month for the motor neurone association. If people can afford to donate to both then im sure both would benefit hugely.

I dont want to particularly the person, but a former prominent poster on this site (and moderator) has recently been diagnosed with motor neurone disease, a particularly debilitating illness. The just giving site for donations is below. - view external link

@Jnorriszippy @tamworthfc thanks John, the lack of sleeps hard, and it's been relentless but it's been well worth it so far! [!]8234;#[!]8206;footyfansdream

Congratulations to the Lads in the 116in116 charity fundraiser.
The 5 lads who support Hull, Barnsley, Leeds and Newcastle, have completed the 116 Grounds in 116 hours challenge well within the time limit.
They achieved their goal in an official time of 106 hrs 33 mins!
116 grounds done and finished off at Oakwell late last night after covering a total of 2,867 miles.
Massive respect to all involved and to everyone for digging deep for the Charity.
