    4th playoff spot

Sheff United looking like they will just edge it over Peterborough on the present form. But can they keep it up?

Wait til blades come up against PNE,Wolves & the other top 6 teams shortly.
Then we"ll know if thy"ll make it, personally i"m convinced they"ll fall short as us,preston & wolves will take quite a few points of them and stop them in their tracks.
I wouldn"t be surprised if Ferguson gets sacked if they drop out of the 4th p.off spot...desparate actions at a late stage by Fry??

Perfect scenario is they take points off other teams above us, we beat 'em and they just fall short of the top 6

By the way, have a read of Ferguson's 'attack' on his players on the Beeb, not sure if it's too foolish or refreshing to read. He aint a happy boy.

'"I'm not having any more of it. You can only do so much.
"I'm not defending them anymore and why should I. It was a completely unprofessional start to a game.
"It's alright to have character when you're 5-0 up against Tranmere, but not when you're 2-0 down with 15 minutes gone and you're just booting the ball everywhere. They know it, I'm not excusing them."

Sounds like a desperate man who has lost his way/plot...expect a sacking soon young Fergie...He's in charge it's up to him to sort it!

I bet Barry Fry wishes he could come and take the Gaffer...

Sheff Uniteds fixtures upcoming are all against the top teams...Preston away, Wolves home, Crawley away (granted not a top team but a tough customer with lots of games in hand), Swindon away, Brentford home, Leyton Orient at home and then us at home. I predict them to be rooted in midtable come May.

It will take one hell of a run for the blunts to achieve top4, but having beaten Villa,Fulham and Carlton why should they be scared of any one.Good Luck I say.

Fulham, bottom of their division. Charlton, bottom of their division. Peterborough 6th but lost to 10 men. Everyone else in the 11 match run - bottom half of the table.

The next months are the true tests. If they are still up there they will deserve it. But they won't be up there.

Exactly what I said, Fulham (twice) and then Charlton were just dreadful. The best team they played were Forest who should have put it to bed, didn't, then united got the late penalty. They'll soon quiten down again. 18 points and counting..

Hey Matty, if the Blades have got to play all the teams at the top then I'll be shouting 'em on, (except when they play us of course), because they can do us a big favour by taking points off some of our rivals for a promotion spot!

Good luck to 'em I say!

The ideal scenario would be for us to sneak into 2nd place (just like we did last season) on the last day, and for the Blades to sneak into 6th on the last day, and then go up via the play-offs!

I'd love it if we had us, both Sheffield clubs, Barnsley and Doncaster in the Championship next season, and not to mention Huddersfield and Leeds also!

And then there's Derby and F
