    North West England

Were you lads affected by the floods rather than just the south..

Only asking as it's never been in the news..

    FLOODS?

We live among a permanent torrent of abuse, brushed aside like an Aberdonian centre half.

    Our anti-diluvian abilities are legend.

I live on the Wirral and we missed the worst of the flooding. The west and northern coastal areas of the peninsula got a battering* in December but that was a mix of high tides and strong winds

Gigg Lane got waterlogged by the BIBLICAL downpours

I think some parts of Cumbria had a few near misses with floooded rivers ect

*developers recently built shops, cinema complex on the front at New Brighton, it was built in what is known as "the dips" which are below sea level and about 50 yards from the shore, they got flooded out in December

Well Aberdeen got battered by rain in BIBLICAL proportions..

But our many times Britain in bloom winner is built on a hill and we have rivers on both sides..

The only time I have seen a flood is after we finished a plumbing job some years back and that was in BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS.many years ago.

I'll be spending quite an bit off of time in the NW in the next 4 weeks.
Blackburn this week, Burnley next, then Wigan and Horwich to follow.
