Tomorrow we celebrate the 88th birthday of our Queen.

Last year my wife made a forty mile round trip just to see the Queen perform some opening ceremony at a new theatre complex in Scarborough.

Sorry, but to me she is a remote and pointless woman who has never done a proper day's work in her life, can barely muster a smile and has had a cushy ride at my expense for years, I owe her nothing and wouldn't cross the road to see her.

The Queen's alright though.

Great minds think alike, Wokes, I was wishing I had added that her career had been chosen for her at birth and as such, unlike us, her career options were non-existent. As well. her comportment today is more and more curtailed or guided by public sentiment (the circumstances around Diana's death being a case in point).
