Congratulations to the three of them. Very well deserved. Rickie Lambert doesn't always get the credit he deserves for his tremendous skill and exceptional number of assists. In Fonte and Lovren we have one of the highest rated central defensive partnerships in Europe.

Our 1st XI is a match for any team in the country. The problem is our 2nd XI is one of the weakest in the Premier League (several of them aren't even good enough for the Championship) so whenever there are injuries or suspensions, we drop off badly. If only we could keep our 1st XI together and strengthen the reserves, we could do even better next season.

This just highlights how criminal it is that Portugal overlooked Fonte yet again. :/

Still, a great article and a credible source. All Rickie needs now is a goal in the world cup and it will have been one hell of a year for him.
