    Commonwealth Games

    Anybody going up?
I got tickets for the netball finals (hopefully Chis ain't playing). Tried for several other sports but didn't get anything.
If I'd had tickets for the opening ceremony I'd be demanding my money back!

I was hoping to see Queenie parachute in with nothing worn under the kilt.

That's a joke right SD? I mean no one would seriously travel up to Scotland to watch netball would they????

I have zero interest in this at all. It's barely competitive sport. Mo Farah has pulled out now, is there any actual decent sportsman involved in this (apart from the Brownlees)?

Having said that, I did watch the opening ceremony last night with the kids just so I could teach them about Imperialism and how great we once were. SuBo singing Mull of Kintyre was about all I could take - and I missed the Barrowman kiss too!!

No joke, my daughter's pretty serious about her netball, should be good. Got friends up there we're staying with, all public transport is free for us so the only ball ache is getting up there

Wait until one of your daughters gets into netball, you'll find it's a good sport, better than basketball without a doubt

Quite agree Southern, basketball must be the most boring 'major' sport there is.
