Expensive admission prices for this one (24 quid x 2 = 48 quid). Seniors also classed as 65 and over, unlike 60 at the Alex. I reckon for a newly promoted club, Fleetwood are being a tad greedy.Originally Posted by OgerAlex
Pretty much just a week to go, was hoping the club to be making noises that tickets selling fast etc etc. Should be a cracking day/weekend out with Blackpool down the road. Surely we'll be taking a fair few to this (was expecting we'd shift our 1100 allocation). Be good if we could highlight a few pubs where Fans are planning to go - always makes it more of a trip when there's a decent pub full of us.

anyone know of any cheap train tickets ? looked on trailine and its £38 return :/
Look on Virgin Trains website and get an advance to/from Preston and then get a day return Preston to Blackpool. Maybe even be able to get a duo ticket to Blackpool if two of you are travelling together.Originally Posted by dishers
Not guaranteed but is a possibility.
Do not use the trainline for tickets as they will only quote for through tickets and will always charge you for the transaction.
Spoons called Thomas Drummond on London Street.
loads of places to drink in blackpool tower lounge, manchester, yates or spoons
FLEETWOOD has'nt got a station anymore, cheapest route is Crewe to Manchester then Man to Blackpool then a tram to Fleetwood, around £35 quid all in.Originally Posted by dishers
2 decent pubs Queens 10 mins walk and for real ale The Strawberry also about 10 mins walk from ground..Wetherpoons in town 15 mins walk plus numerous other pubs. Tram stops few minutes from the ground (Stanley road tram stop) or carry on into town centre, if ya get bus from Blackpool the number 1 stops right outside ground. If ya come by train Poulton station bit closer than Blackpool but buses harder to come by but if theres a few of ya you can jump in a taxi
Regarding train travel, if you get two separate returns; Crewe - Warrington and Warrington - Blackpool North, that brings down the price for an adult to £28.20. Then you've just got the tram fare from Blackpool North Pier to Fleetwood.
Away travel is certainly not cheap. You could always get one of those donkeys off the beach.Originally Posted by Wistaston_Alex
