My god Zil you don't make things easy for youngsters like me. I haven't got a clue except I think I read something recently about the bonus point for (5) being Stairway to Heaven as it was 'ripped off' from someone else...maybe?
Up until about 18 months ago we used to have regular music quizzes done by myself, CT, Croglin, Poddington and others. The questions were of the cryptic variety but we got so excited setting them that we eventually emptied the barrel of possible subjects.
Consequently the quiz below is, out of necessity, only partially cryptic and some of the questions are so easy that even gm-gm could answer them and he absolutely hates all music (or so he tells me).
However, the same rules still apply and these are as follows:
1. No googling, no use of reference books, no use of album covers.
2. Only answer 2 questions at any one time, thus giving our ex-pats and others coming late to the thread, a chance to bite the cherry.
If these rules are broken then obviously it makes a nonsense of the whole thing and deters others from setting music quizzes of their own.
Good luck boys and girls.
